Solar tracking system is the possible solutionto increase the efficiency of solar energy conversion. A dualaxis solar tracking system is developed and verified by FEA and CFD simulation. The mechanism structure is formed based onseveral existing approaches and validated and optimized based on structural analysisand fluid/structural interaction analysis. The solid models are created in 3D CAD Pro/Engineer, and FEA isperformed in its integrated solver Pro/Mechanica. The static analysis isperformed to provide the insight of how structure response to the wind load. Thefluid/structural interaction (FSI) analysis is performed to further validate thedesign and provides the solid ground to modify the structure design if designiteration is necessary.
